HOT RACE
Quality and experience pay off. The beautiful show that took place on the 2° round of the National Scooter Polini Italian Cup on the circuit of Sagittario in Latina is the evidence of this; it’s a further confirmation of the excellence of this amazing balanced championship. The weekend offered a sequence of challenges with a patrol of more than fifty riders coming from Italy and from Slovenia and Spain and offered a lot of sport as it is in the tradition of competitions organised by Moto Club Bergamo. The race of Latina proposed again from a technical point of view the direct duel between the everlasting Zip bikes and Yamaha Jog, marked by multiple chances of performing developments, that have been confirmed by the victories in all classes.

SCOOTER 100 BIG EVOLUTION OPEN:
OLIVA, THE FLYING SPANISH
In Race 1, Juan Francisco Oliva is the rider to beat. Nico Morelli can take the first position and tries to escape, but Oliva on the second lap attacks and heads for the lead. Behind, Blando makes a mistake and loses some positions. A duel between Morelli and Tiraferri, as Corsi tries to keep the pace of the best ones. While Oliva runs away, Blando’s comeback surprises and ends second behind the Spanish and precedes Tiraferri, Corsi, Morelli.
In Race 2 Oliva doesn’t get surprised and right away takes the lead, as Blando goes wrong at start, Tiraferri and Morelli are ready to follow.
Tiraferri in the first laps tries and gets close to Oliva, who rejects any attack of Polini Scooter Team rider. The pace imposed by the Spanish creates a vacuum; Tiraferri is the only one trying to perform the impossible. Behind the two ruling riders, Morelli and Corsi stand out and fight with Blando. At mid-race, Tiraferri loses ground and is overtaken by Blando and Morelli.

SCOOTER 70 EVOLUTION AMATORI:
TORTOSA, TESTA AND THRUST LEVER
In Race-1 Alessandro Bascherini sprints from pole position, followed by Fabio Testa and the championship leader Matteo Tortosa. The three distance the group when Bascherini and Testa are the protagonists of a nice duel, as Tortosa studies his adversaries from behind. Tortosa overtakes soon Testa who slips after the passing. Shortly after, it’s Bascherini’s turn who wins authoritatively. Behind Tortosa, second position for Bascherini and third for Testa.
In Race-2 Bascherini stands still at start and leaves on last position. Tortosa takes advantage and increases rapidly his edge before Urbano and Paolo Scarpelli, as Bascherini and Testa are bound to withdrawal after a fall. Double win for Tortosa who wins Race-2 by a big gap, before Urbano, Scarpelli, Cipollone, Casagrande.

SCOOTER 70 EVOLUTION SUPERSPORT:
MARKO MIHAEL, THE ASSAULT SLOVENE
Marco Moroni is very quick at start of Race-1, but a contact with Lanzilao in the first lap makes both lose some positions. Luka Koren takes advantage and the lead, followed by the team mate Marko Mihael and Luca Zani. Mihael after some laps assails Koren: the two riders are always close to each other, as Lanzilao and Moroni recover and get into the top 5. On the final sprint, Marko Mihael precedes Koren, Lanzilao, Moroni, Carlucci.
In Race-2, Moroni has a good sprint but Zani’s assault doesn’t take long to come and Koren surprises Moroni on the brake. On the lead, there’s a quartet composed of Koren, Zani, Mihael and Lanzilao. At the end Zani wins, Mihael is second but embittered for his friend-rival Koren’s slide.
Day podium: Mihael, Zani, Lanzilao.
