WINNING RETURN
Filippo Corsi has finally come through! Polini Scooter Team rider is back to victory in the queen class of the most important national scooter championship in terms of quality and prestige, since it is open to all trainers and processing kits for track races, and he took the highest place of the podium in Scooter 100 Big Evolution Open. All this was in the second round of Polini Italian Cup, that has taken place on Viterbo circuit, with amazing races and highly technical level contests, supervised by Moto Club Bergamo, which has been planning this championship for 15 years.

CORSI & RECOURSES
The Dutch Roufs gets off to very good start before Blando and Corsi in Race 1. Roufs seems to be able to make off, as Corsi after few bends attacks Blando. Tiraferri can pass Blando but ends up to fall because of a bump with a rival. Corsi keeps on leading, chased by the Dutch who makes a mistake under pressure and so paves the way for Corsi, who goes to win before Blando and Roufs. Good fourth position for Castellini, as Starnone ends up fifth after a slip.
In Race 2 Starnone is the quickest on start, followed by Castellini and Morelli. Tiraferri assails and overtakes Morelli: it’s twist time and Starnone slides. Tiraferri seems to be able to distance them, but behind Roufs and Blando are not unprepared and keep on recording fast laps. Corsi studies the adversaries and goes to attack by passing Bando and then Roufs.

CHALLENGES AT FULL SPEED
In Race 1, Sauro leads the race followed by Marola and Iannini. Iannini starts to force the pace by decided brakes over Sauro. Leonardi enters the fray, as Nardo from the rear rows gets close to the leading trio. After some laps, Leonardi gets to the head of race, but Iannini goes to win on sprint, through a great progression, and precedes Sauro and Marola.
In Race 2, Leonardi has a good start and is followed by Nardo who slips and ends up behind the group. Pauletto and Iannini fight even though Iannini loses the rear part by moving up gas opening. Sauro cancels Leonardo’s advantage and flies towards victory. Day podium: Sauro, Leonardi, Marola.

GIACOMETTI’S GREAT RETURN
In Race 1, Russo is the most rapid at start, chased by Leporati and Giacometti, but a mistake on the brake of Leporati opens the way to Giacometti, who pursues Russo after some bends and passes him in the final. Third is Fusto at the end of an interesting contest with Baglioni and Nardo.
In Race 2 Russo starts quick again. Giacometti is close, as Nardo is third.
Giacometti is very quick and thanks to a decided overtaking goes to lead before Russo. Leporati gets the better of the rivals for third position through a final sprint, that ratifies the victory if Giacometti over Russo. Day podium: Giacometti, Russo, Fusto.

MARTIN’S RETURN
In Race 1 Russo starts from pole and drags Zani who makes an excellent start from second row. The trio Landucci, Leporati and Baglioni chase him. Russo runs away lonely, as Zani makes a mistake and ends up in the rear positions. Rivals make contacts with Leporati, who is passed by two adversaries. In a tit for tat, Leporati manages to end third behind Landucci second.
Race 2 is even faster, Russo leads again, followed by Zani who makes a nice duel with Landucci and Baglioni. Russo makes off while looking at the contest behind, between Zani and Landucci. Russo wins before Zani who ends second thanks to a majestic overtaking on the last bend over Landucci. Day podium: Russo, Landucci, Zani.

DERAPAGE VENT 80 TROPHY:
RUSSO GETS DOUBLE WIN
In Race 1, Martin Mihael has an excellent sprint and is chased by Benini, who’s made a recovery, and Birtele. Mihael is very quick, Benini is the only who holds his own. Beghelli stands out of the group, overtakes and recovers the fourth position. Mihael wins and precedes Benini and Birtele.
In Race 2, Beghelli is the quickest, followed by Koren and Marko Mihael. Beghelli is passed by Raineri, pursued by Koren and Martin Mihael. Mihael assails Raineri who doesn’t give up. In the final Birtele falls down and under yellow flag forbidding to surpass, Martin Mihael is sanctioned and ends up third, preceded by Raineri and Koren. Day podium: Mihael, Raineri, Koren.
