The forties, second post war period, the rebuilding, Italy on the bicycle. Daddy Polini Battista comes back from the front and starts to construct bicycles. They are needed and well sold. Bicycles for workers, strong, to be used on beaten tracks, on the rise, on the pavé. The frame bears the ram, not the zodiacal sign, but the battalion coat of arms where daddy said “bye” to his youth.
Then we came: Carlo, Franco and Piero. And then, lads, we went down to the shop to help: the work, our craft, so that the passion for the two-wheels and the mechanics grew into us. When, at the end of the fifties, thanks to the economical boom, people started to buy the first mopeds, the “vespa” and the “lambretta”, we were already prepared, we were forward, and daddy with us. There is nothing to do: if you have something in the blood, sooner or later it comes out. With the time we dispersed, we also betrayed mopeds for cars but it could not be forever as our desire was there, with motorcycles: the passion, all our experience. One of us, Piero, started racing. First seventies, rock music, miniskirts, maxiskirts, Ancillotti bikes, the modified Sachs engine, shift at seven gears. “Piero” won 3 “Italian Enduro titles” and from then it has been impossible to count victories: two hundred, three hundred, maybe more.
The enthusiasm, the experience, the continuous work to get improvements gave us many satisfactions. With patience we found out all the secrets of many engines. We improved them, we strengthened them and bettered them. We made them winners, safe and reliable. These performance parts have been thought to make the own motorcycle more personal, both for the rider who makes sports and for tourists or guys who can enjoy themselves riding in the city. Our products are characterized by the extraordinary quality which is the product of the synthesis of passion, experience and continuous renovation.
La progettazione si realizza con l’aiuto di sofisticati programmi CAD (Computer Aided Design). I test avvengono su banchi prova a controllo elettronico e con l’impiego della telemetria. Le materie prime vengono attentamente selezionate in base a parametri qualitativi e sempre alla ricerca di quanto più perfezionato il mercato può offrire. Le lavorazioni sono effettuate esclusivamente mediante sistemi produttivi robotizzati e a controllo numerico. La nostra sede POLINI-MOTORI è ad Alzano Lombardo e si estende su 20.000 metri quadrati, dei quali 8.800 di magazzini e 3.000 tra uffici e reparto corse. A Bergamo abbiamo la POLINI-RICAMBI, fornitissimo centro attrezzato su 2.500 metri quadrati. Abbiamo impostato una rete commerciale dinamica, più di 3200 punti vendita in Italia ed esportazioni in oltre 64 Paesi.
